🎥 Gold Coast Christian Church Media Policy
1. Purpose
This Media Policy is established to ensure all media-related activities at Gold Coast Christian Church reflect the highest standards of professionalism and uphold the integrity of our messaging and content.
The purpose of live-streaming our church services is to extend our reach, allowing those who
cannot physically attend to participate in worship and access the teachings. This policy
ensures that we do so responsibly, respecting the privacy of individuals.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all media content, including but not limited to:
Video and audio recordings
Photography
Social media posts
Reels and other short-form videos
Graphic design materials
Downloading, uploading, editing, and content creation
3. Authorised Personnel
Only members of the Media Department are permitted to engage in the following activities: The members of the Media Department include Pr. Saji John, Jaison James, Stephan Saji John, Finny Alex, Sam Paul Simon and Deepu.
Uploading or downloading media assets
Editing existing media
Creating new content (e.g., reels, videos, graphics)
Commenting on media-related platforms
Making decisions related to public-facing content
All media-related tasks must be carried out by trained and approved personnel within the department. No other individuals or groups may publish, alter, or comment on church media without consent from the Media.
4. Content Integrity
The media team is entrusted with preserving the authenticity and messaging of our church. To protect this:
All content must align with the Church’s values, branding, and tone
Media output should be respectful, uplifting, and mission-driven
Any content not produced or vetted by the department may not be distributed through official channels
5. Violations
Engaging in unauthorised media-related activities may result in a formal review and corrective action as determined by church leadership.
6. Live Streaming Content Expectations
1. On-Stage Personnel: Faces of individuals who are actively leading worship (singing, leading songs)
Or preaching from the stage will be live-streamed. These individuals are understood to be in a public-facing role during the service.
2. Congregation and Audience: Faces of individuals in the general congregation will be live-streamed.
4. Testimonies: Testimonies will be minimal in the church.
5. The Lord's Table (Communion): The Lord's Table will be live-streamed.
6. Announcements: General announcements will be live-streamed.
This policy is subject to periodic review and may be amended to reflect changes in organisational practices, legal requirements, or operational needs. Any updates will be communicated appropriately to ensure continued compliance and clarity.
